  2.               WELLCOME TO VIET NAM (HUE) CULTURE

  4.    Please make a copy of the program disk before starting your
  5. VIET NAM CULTURE. If you erase a file by mistake, at least you
  6. will be able to start over again.
  7.  
  8.    To create a printed copy of the USER GUIDE please type README.
  9. 1ST at the DOS prompt.  This is recommended for all first time
  10. users.

  13. HOW TO IMPROVE THE PROGRAM OR THE MANUAL. IF YOU HAD A GOOD MAPS,

  27.                System Requirements:
  28.  
  29.     IBM PC, XT, AT, PS/2  with VGA color monitor or compatibles
  30.     MS-DOS 2.0 or greater
  31.     512 K RAM OR greater
  32.  
  33.    Installation:
  34.  
  35.    Floppy Based :  The program and data files necessary to run the
  36. program and should fit on one diskette.
  37. Please make a backup copy of the VN Culture disk.  This way if
  38. you have a problem,  you will have a back up available.
  39.  
  40.    Hard Disk :  Create a sub directory off the root called "VIETNAM"
  41. with the make directory (MD) DOS command.
  42.  
  43.            C:>  MD VIETNAM <enter>
  44.  
  45.    Then change the current directory(CD) to "VIETNAM" and use the copy
  46. command from the a: to c: drive.
  47.  
  48.            C:> CD VIETNAM <enter>
  49.            C:> COPY A:*.* C: <enter>
  50.  
  51.    Hard disk users may want to create a batch file to take them
  52. automatically to the "VIETNAM" sub directory and execute the
  53. "VN.EXE" program file.
  54.  
  55.    Color Systems: This software required VGA Color monitor for graphic
  56. pictures and maps.

  88.                         ABOUT THE WINDOWS
  89.  
  90.    Any window that has a '=' in the upper left corner can be
  91. closed by selecting that character with the Mouse. Windows with
  92. the '▓' character accross the window's top row can be moved
  93. around the screen by selecting that area with the mouse. The '+'
  94. character in the lower-right corner means that window can be
  95. resized by selecting the '+' character with the Mouse.

  97.                          USING THE MOUSE
  98.  
  99.    Virtually all operation on the Menu can be accomplished using
  100. the Mouse. Move the mouse cursor to whatever you want to select
  101. and press the left button.
  102.        
  103.    In addition to being able to make a choice with a mouse, you
  104. can also perform a number of operations on windows. Using the
  105. mouse you can close, move, or resize windows depending on the
  106. particular features of the window that is active: Such as
  107. Vietnam or Capital City Summary on the menu.
  108.  
  109.                         USING ACCESS KEYS
  110.  
  111.    Access Keys are the key on the menu bar that are highlighted
  112. when you press Alt key. If you press a letter that is highlighted
  113. in the menu title, that menu will be selected.
  114.  
  115.    Once a pull-down menu is displayed, each menu item also has
  116. a highlighted letter associated with each choice. Press the
  117. letter that corresponds to the menu item you want to select.
  118.  
  119.   If after you press Alt key, you change your mine, press the
  120. Alt key again to cancel.
  121.  
  122.        Press F1 to display about ASIAN CULTURE PROGRAMS.

  126.                  Please press F1 key now !!!!

  129.   In the map MENU such as Capital City map, after you press
  130. enter, it will display the map and ask for an area number to be
  131. selected. For example press number 22 will display '(22)
  132. Forbidden Purple City'.

  134.             Press SPACE BAR to continue and so on.
  135.  
  136.             Press 'Q' or 'q' to quit display.
  137.  
  138. and will ask "Do you want to zoom (Y/N) ?
  139.  
  140.       If you answer 'N' it will go back to menu
  141.       If you answer 'Y' it will ask you for what area ?
  142.  
  143.       You may choice of '1', '2', '3' or '4'
  144.  
  145. It will again display the area you choice and ask for an area
  146. number to select.
  147.  
  148.             Type 'Q' or 'q' to quit and return to menu.
  149.  
  150.   For the Map or Picture without question, just press 'ESC"
  151. to return MENU.

  153.   In the TEXT mode press 'SPACE BAR' to continue.

  156. development of MS-DOS based software distributed in a SHAREWARE
  157. environment.  The goal of Viet Nam (Hue) Culture to made it
  158. available to the general public.

  161. average PC user to pay the expensive prices charged by commercial
  162. software developers.  The SHAREWARE concept of free distribution
  163. with registration fee's holds the best potential for providing
  164. quality products at affordable prices.  Please support this
  165. concept to make this experiment and the SHAREWARE concept a
  166. success.
